Install - How to Install Economy Permanent Autocross Digits
Note: If your decal was shipped rolled or folded, there may be wrinkles in the transfer layer. The sticker will not be wrinkled.
To ease installation, let the decal sit on a at surface and go over any wrinkles in the transfer paper with the included squeegee.
Needed tools: Painter’s tape, squeegee (included), tape measure/ruler, spray bottle full of water
Optional: for less aggressive initial tack and longer drying time, add one drop of dish soap to the water in the spray bottle. Shake before use.
How to apply your decals:
Clean

Wipe clean the car or surface to which you are applying the decal with a mild cleaner. Allow to dry. Note that wax and ceramic coatings can have an adverse affect on adhesion.
Tape Onto Vehicle

With a strip of masking tape, adhere the decal, backing paper and all, to the car. Make sure it’s aligned to the car. The tape will act as a hinge for the next steps.
Peel the Backing Paper Off

Lift the decal by hinging it so it rests above the tape. You’ll now see the backing paper. Peel the backing paper away from and o of the decal. You can use another piece of tape to hold the remaining decal and backing paper up out of the way.
Wet the Surface

Using the spray bottle, wet the car liberally. Lightly wet the back of the decal.
Squeegee

Let the decal down onto the car. Use the included squeegee to squeegee out water. Work from the top middle downward and outward. The idea is for the water to allow the decal to avoid sticking until forced out with the squeegee.
Remove the Transfer Paper

After all water is removed, let the decal sit with the backing paper still applied for 10-15 minutes. At that point, pull the backing paper from the decal at a sharp angle. Ensure the decal stays adhered to the car. If it begins to come up, reapply, re-squeegee and try again in 5 minutes.
*Sometimes, despite best efforts, air gets trapped under a part of the vinyl. In this case, use a tiny pin, needle or xacto knife to poke a small hole in the bubble and force the air out with your finger. Additionally, small bubbles will disappear over time.
